Opportunity Finance Network (OFN) is looking for a talented team player to join OFN’s strategic communications team. Responsibilities include tracking, formatting, and publishing content updates across OFN’s website in alignment with best practices, collecting and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs), and helping to manage marketing technology software and vendors.

This position is based in Washington, D.C. All staff currently work a hybrid schedule.

Core Responsibilities

  • Track, format, and publish OFN website content updates in coordination with other teams, including landing pages, blog articles, CDFI borrower stories, media coverage, and industry job bank.
  • Support overall web performance and site health by identifying stale content and recommending updates to ensure it stays current and relevant, as well as following best practices for user experience and SEO.
  • Organize inventory of OFN marketing and communications materials and update items as needed, including PowerPoint presentations and fact sheets.
  • Support updates to attendee app for in-person OFN events.
  • Maintain organization of digital assets and content in Salesforce and SharePoint, ensuring easy access and workflows across the organization
  • Track and analyze performance metrics across website and other communications channels.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with all levels of the organization to facilitate cross-functional collaboration and implementation of effective strategic communications.
  • Other related duties as assigned, such as drafting content and supporting email marketing, virtual presentations, and video and graphics production for events and other core business needs.
 
Position Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 5-7 years of equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Demonstrated marketing and/or communications work or internship experience desired.
  • Professional experience working in community development and/or at a national membership association desired.
  • Must possess a strong passion for, understanding of, and commitment to OFN’s mission, vision, and values. In addition, be a fearless advocate, who is confident and resilient in OFN’s fight to drive capital into low-income communities
  • A collaborative team player who possesses the interpersonal skills to work across all levels of the organization both internally and externally, humility, and a willingness to learn in all areas of our work. Be a strong team contributor, effective and comfortable in leading as well as supporting roles within teams.
  • Ability to adapt content, including both copy and graphics, for digital marketing platforms, fact sheets, events, and more.
  • Be a smart, quick seeker of knowledge with the ability to think strategically, creatively, and tactically to analyze results and provide practical recommendations.
  • Adept at online content publishing required.
  • Tight organization, project planning skills, and close attention to detail is required as the Associate supports time-critical content publishing across many platforms and maintains records for the department.
  • Ability to understand diverse perspectives required.
  • Familiarity with a range of marketing technology, such as WordPress, Salesforce, SharePoint, Pardot, CVENT, YouTube, Google Analytics.
  • Familiarity with website best practices, including SEO.
  • Ability to set priorities, follow through on challenging situations, and effectively manage time under moderate supervision required. 
  • Some travel required (5-15% of time).
  • Job involves normal physical requirements for an office position.
