Associate, Peer Learning 

Description

Opportunity Finance Network (OFN) seeks a highly organized, people-oriented individual to support the coordination and execution of peer learning opportunities for our network of mission-driven community lenders. This role is responsible for providing operational and logistical support for peer learning communities, regional meetings, and other peer learning programming. This role works closely with community development finance practitioners to facilitate networking and foster collaboration, knowledge sharing, and a sense of community amongst OFN’s membership. This is a new and exciting opportunity within OFN’s Development Services team for candidates interested in being part of a growing team dedicated to the production of high-quality, practitioner-centered programming, services, and resources to support CDFIs and other mission-driven lenders.

This position is based in Washington, D.C. All staff currently work a hybrid schedule.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide general administrative, logistical, and operational support for peer learning programming. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Scheduling, coordinating, and updating calendar invites.

  • Preparing for peer learning meetings by sharing checklists, reminders, and scheduling check-ins as needed with internal and external facilitators; coordinating and supporting logistics for facilitators as requested.

  • Organizing and communicating logistical information with attendees prior to programming.

  • Providing timely, thorough follow-up after programming to share resources, notes, and other information.

  • Maintaining accurate records, including taking notes and documenting attendance at programming. Ensure data is synced with CRM system.

  • As needed, supporting execution of in-person meetings and programming by providing on-site support and preparing, assembling, and shipping materials.

  • Utilize and build expertise with a variety of digital platforms, including Cvent, Zoom, and Salesforce, to facilitate the activities of the Development Services team related to peer learning programming.

  • Provide high-quality customer service by responding to inquiries, via email and phone, from members, meeting attendees, and other stakeholders efficiently, professionally, and effectively.

  • Work across Network Services team to help strengthen member engagement by leveraging data from events, OFN's CRM system, and other channels to build program awareness, compile invite lists, and expand participation in peer learning programming. Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities to drive engagement.

  • Support the organizing and synthesizing of information from peer learning programming so that it is easily accessible and actionable for different audiences, including members, the broader Development Services team, and various internal departments across the organization.

  • Assist with other activities of the Development Services team as requested.

 
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or 5 years of direct professional work experience in lieu of degree.

  • 1-3 years of professional experience in project/event management, program coordination, operations, member engagement, or community development.

  • Experience with or ability to quickly learn how to utilize digital tools and platforms such as Cvent, Zoom, and Salesforce.

  • Experience working in a non-profit organization is helpful.

  • Detail-oriented, with a focus on accuracy and precision in execution.

  • Customer-focused mindset and solution-oriented attitude with a commitment to delivering a positive experience.

  • Curiosity and commitment to learning, ideally with an interest in community development, financial institutions, nonprofits, and/or economic and social justice.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills required with emphasis on clarity, conciseness, and relevance.

  • Self-starter with experience prioritizing and managing multiple projects, assignments, and meeting tight deadlines.

  • Innate ability to appropriately discern and adjust communications and responses for different audiences and situations.

  • Occasional travel may be required (up to 5% of time).

  • Job involves normal physical requirements for an office position.

The salary range for this role is $47,700 to $89,200.

Salaries paid at Opportunity Finance Network will vary based on factors that may include skills, education, location, experience, and performance. The salary range for this position is represented by the low and high end of the range for the position level.
