As the Patient Service Professional Development Coordinator, you will provide leadership and development to patient services staff with a focus on technical and professional development as well as responsibility for improving the competency, skill sets, productivity, and satisfaction of staff through orientation and on-going training.

 

Salary for this role is $24.00 – 31.00/hr.

 

Development Coordinator Specific Duties:

Orientation & Onboarding

  • Has appropriate knowledge and ability to function as a Patient Services Professional in all departments as needed (see Patient Services Professional job description).

  • Responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive orientation and onboarding program for new Patient Services staff.

*Competency & Validation

  • Evaluation of department performance/trends to assess the training needs.

  • Development and implementation of ongoing validation and competency activities; providing effective feedback on results to assist in facilitating improved outcomes.

*Payer and Practice Management

  • Subject matter expert on Practice Management activities within the electronic health record, insurance validation websites, etc.*

  • Oversees development and implementation of Patient Services policies/procedures, including management of sliding fee program.

  • *Maintains appropriate knowledge base of major third-party payor regulations and special programs available to our patients.

  • Maintains appropriate knowledge of FQHC guidelines and the application of the sliding fee schedule based on the federal poverty guidelines to our patient population.

*Communication & Leadership

  • Facilitates efficient and effective department communication.

  • Visits each clinic monthly to round and engage with Patient Services staff

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience/Education: Associates degree or equivalent medical office experience.

  • Travel: Frequent local travel between clinics, including Clinton and Muscatine, is required.
