Job Description Interactive Government Holdings (IGH) is seeking qualified, trained and capable individual to serve as a Military Transition Public Affairs Specialist - DHRA-MCTO, office of Military-Civilian Transition, Defense Human Resource Activity. The Military-Civilian Transition Office (MCTO) requires programmatic research, analysis, assessments, product development, document drafting, recommendations, coordination, synchronization, and analytic support services for Service members preparing for their next step in life - whether pursuing an additional vocational trade or higher education, finding employment in the public or private sector, or starting their own business; or Reserve Component (RC) members and their families adjusting to pre- and post-activation, mobilization or deployment. MCTO designs cohesive, modular, outcome-based training, events and courses that bolsters and standardizes the opportunities, services, and training to promote effective and efficient support of transitioning Service members and members of the National Guard and Reserve, their families and communities worldwide.   Position Requirements Major responsibilities include (not all inclusive): The position of Military Transition Public Affairs Specialist - DHRA-MCTO must have experience in directly supporting clarification of their organization’s point of view to its main audience through direct engagement, site visits, and interviews. Experience in monitoring social, economic, and political trends that might affect their organization, and recommend ways to enhance the firm’s image on the basis of those trends. The Military Transition Public Affairs Specialist - DHRA-MCTO also works with outreach promotions to ensure that engagement campaigns are compatible with the image of the organization. Qualifications: This positions requires a degree that included 15 semester hours in statistics (or in mathematics and statistics, provided at least 6 semester hours were in statistics), and 9 additional semester hours in one or more of the following: physical or biological sciences, medicine, education, or engineering; or in the social sciences including demography, history, economics, social welfare, geography, international relations, social or cultural anthropology, health sociology, political science, public administration, psychology, etc. Credit toward meeting statistical course requirements should be given for courses in which 50 percent of the course content appears to be statistical methods, e.g., courses that included studies in research methods in psychology or economics such as tests and measurements or business cycles, or courses in methods of processing mass statistical data such as tabulating methods or electronic data processing.
