This role involves strategic planning, security, project management, and ensuring the alignment of technology systems with the organization's compliance and reporting requirements.

This position is based in Washington, D.C. All staff currently work a hybrid schedule

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement an information technology strategy that aligns and supports OFN’s long-term business goals.
  • Develop and manage OFN’s IT budget and ensure cost-effectiveness and efficiency across the organization.
  • Oversee all technology-related projects from inception to completion ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
  • Stay updated with the latest technology trends and assess their potential impact on OFN. Utilize best practices for project management and software development.
  • Ensure the continuous operation and maintenance of OFN’s IT infrastructure.
  • Manage IT service providers and vendors for optimal service delivery.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of policies and practices for IT security.
  • Oversee and ensure adequate security systems to protect data and manage risks.
  • Ensure all technology practices adhere to regulatory standards.
  • Conduct regular system audits and ensure the integrity and safety of data.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the technology team, ensuring staff have the resources and skills needed to support all projects and initiatives.
  • Support OFN’s business units with the implementation of IT projects, including supporting the team in developing business requirements and ensuring the team’s technical needs are being met using optimal IT solutions.
  • Coordinate IT requirements and solutions across OFN to ensure optimal IT infrastructure.
  • Serve as a thought partner to enhance organizational effectiveness through the use of technology.
  • Support OFN’s IT infrastructure to manage data reporting, financial information, and loan management, including data warehouse.
  • Develop, update, and manage OFN’s IT policies, including compliance policy needs to address IT security.
 
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field or 7-10 years of work experience in lieu of a degree. Master's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience managing organizational IT systems or similar leadership role.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and experience managing a team.
  • Experience with cloud technologies, enterprise resource planning (ERP), Asana project management tool, and Salesforce customer relationship management (CRM) system.
  • Understand data reporting infrastructure and data warehouse management.
  • A strong understanding of security infrastructure and a broad understanding of data loss prevention and compliance.
  • A collaborative team player who possesses the interpersonal skills to work across all levels of the organization, humility, and a willingness to learn in all areas of our work. Be a strong team contributor, effective and comfortable in leading as well as supporting roles within teams.
  • Be a smart, quick seeker of knowledge with the ability to think strategically, creatively, and tactically to analyze results and assist in implementing plans for increasing capital to communities we serve.
  • Advanced understanding of computer systems, networks, and security.
  • Strong communication skills are essential for engaging with a diverse audience, presenting proposals, and building relationships across the organization.
  • Superior organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and efficiently as well as the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines under pressure without sacrificing quality.
  • Advanced digital literacy in workplace technology solutions.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with teams across OFN.
  • Some travel required (<5% of time).
  • Job involves normal physical requirements for an office position.
