Email Opening Apply Now Title Mechanical Engineer - Vehicle Accident  Category Technical Services   Number of Openings 1   Location Irvine   Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time   Exempt/Non-Exempt Exempt   Description   JOB SUMMARY: The Mechanical Engineer - Vehicle Accident Reconstructionist will use their broad Engineering, design, and manufacturing experience to provide investigation, analysis, reports and testimony when technical answers are needed to help resolve litigation or insurance claims, involving vehicle crash reconstruction and product liability. Experience must include an engineering degree and a working knowledge of vehicle systems and structures. Hands-on experience with vehicles is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will be based in Irvine, California, and capable of performing investigations both regionally and across the country. RESPONSIBILITIES & KEY ACTIVITIES: Responsible for conducting both internal & external investigations of safety related warranty claims and incidents? Work with agencies on communications related to investigations & incidents? Work with legal to draft & provide required comments, feedback, clarifications and other sensitive/critical information???? Conduct all safety related warranty claims analysis for communicating to both internal and external stakeholders? Responsible for prompt & timely analysis of all claims from start of production (SOP) to end of life (EOL)??   Position Requirements MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering 5+ years work experience in automotive quality, manufacturing, or process engineering Experience in automotive related safety investigations Experience in warranty triage and root cause analysis of safety related components and systems Comprehensive understanding of engineering quality management, warranty analysis, service tools/processes Capable of managing escalations and crisis situations Experience working with local, state, and federal government agencies Excellent communication skills to work with multi-cultural internal & external organizations Self-motivated, results driven, able to work with minimal supervision   Open Date 5/7/2024   Req Number TEC-24-00002   About the Organization Welcome to the Future of Mobility.
