Human Resource Generalist 

Description
  • Offer support to all aspects of Human Resources functions: recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of new employees, collaborating in orientation and training classes, assist with benefit enrollment and administration, unemployment, coaching/counseling employees
  • Develop knowledge of company policies & procedures to effectively communicate guidelines when responding to daily employee and Supervisor inquiries
  • Manage and maintain accurate hourly headcount reports. Communicate and distribute weekly updates to plant and corporate
  • Coordinate hourly S&A applications and follow up with the disability insurance carrier as needed
  • Maintain associate files: create files for new associates and ensure that all paperwork pertaining to each associate is placed in the appropriate file on a timely basis
  • Track and document FMLA usage for hourly employees
  • Work with the local union on requests and required reports
  • Coordinate all employee movement in the plant. Transfers, Shift Preferences, Job postings etc..
  • Process weekly hourly payroll
  • Support and respond to special requests as needed by HR Manager and Plant Staff
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
 
Position Requirements

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.  Must be able to build complex spreadsheets in Excel.
  • Must be able to create PowerPoint presentations for customers and executives
  • Excellent verbal and written interpersonal communication skills

Preferred

  • 4+ years Human Resources experience
  • 4 + years ADP, Ceridian, or other HR system experience
 
Education Requirement Bachelor's degree in Business Management or Human Resources
