Warehouse Supervisor

SCOPE OF POSITION:
This position is responsible for the daily supervision of Warehouse Associates and performing other duties to ensure customer orders are filled accurately and in a timely manner while still following all food safety and associate safety standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other Duties May Be Assigned):

  • Supervises and plans workforce labor: picking and loading of customers’ orders and receiving inbound product.
  • Ensure all customer orders are loaded properly and all accompanying paperwork is complete and accurate.
  • Ensures all safety standards are upheld by Warehouse Associates and all equipment is in good working order.
  • Enforces all Quality standards.
  • Coach, mentor, and guide warehouse Associates to meet standards of work.
  • Suggests improvements to operation processes.
  • Monitor workforce requirements and confer with Shift Manager regarding Associates’ overtime hours to maximize labor utilization and minimize labor expense.
  • Communicates and enforces work rule changes.
  • Provide guidance and consultation to Associates pertaining to employee relations issues, interpretation of Company policies and procedures, and compliance to applicable employment laws.
  • Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

 
Position Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.


Experience – 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience with 1 to 2 years related experience and/or training in Engineered Labor Management or Warehouse Management.


Other Required Skills and Abilities – Competent with all features of Microsoft Office systems, prefer past experience using warehouse management systems include voice selection, scan and comparable technologies. Supervisory and inventory control skill required.

Must be available for work on 3rd shift to include weekend day availability. Must be able to cover PTO for other Supervisors. This position will require work on various shifts, and will not be eligible for a regular bid and a defined schedule.
