We are looking to add an Inventory Controller to join our Cleveland, OH Team! The ideal candidate will be organized, motivated, and have experience in inventory manangement. 

The inventory controller role is crucial in ensuring stock management at site locations and that inventory is accounted for, within the home office and site locations. This role is also responsible for maintaining company vehicles.

What you will do

  • Conduct regularly scheduled visits of key client facilities to check stock levels, and maintain compliance with company standards and client requirements.
  • Act as the key point of contact for all supplies, consumables, and equipment concerns, processes, and improvements for the client.
  • Maintain clean and orderly stock areas within client facilities to ensure compliance and ease of distribution for cleaning personnel.
  • Work with client to manage a centralized supply center used to distribute to each of the individual facilities.
  • Maintain cleanliness of company vehicle (interior and exterior) as to represent the company in the best light.
  • Collect used/dirty microfibers and supplies from the sites and transport them back to the central office for laundering.
  • Maintain sanitary delivery vehicle to ensure delivery of safe, clean microfiber towels to client sites.
  • Review and manage daily any open work orders and complete simple tasks (remove trash, vacuum, etc) while visiting overlapping client sites.
  • Actively manage weekly schedule to utilize the most effective client visitation route, allowing for the high-profile client sites to receive appropriate care.
  • Check in with client representative(s) and communicate any issues, concerns, or completed tasks prior to leaving the client site.
  • Take a proactive approach with any items that can be cleaned/resolved on the spot during an inventory management visit.
  • Communicate effectively with both clients and internal teams to address concerns, provide feedback, and implement improvements.
  • Ensure that cleaning equipment and supplies are properly maintained, stocked, and utilized. Recommend upgrades or replacements as needed to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Complete equipment inventory audits within key client facilities when necessary.
  • Work closely with cleaning supervisors, managers, and other stakeholders to coordinate efforts, address challenges, and implement best practices for quality assurance.
  • Always represent JSI and its team members in a positive light and approach all customer dialogue with a solutions-centric approach 
  • Attend key client Sales Presentations as a key pillar within JSI’s value proposition.
  • Participate in Weekly Quality Assurance Meeting with VP of Sales/Operations to recap key items from client visitations.

SAFETY

  • Adhere to all client safety requirements while in or around client facilities.
  • Complete safety training as required by the client, including HIPA and Bloodborne Pathogen training.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record, as the role will require daily use of a company vehicle.
  • Must have a reliable vehicle to get to and from our office location.
  • Must complete a BCI background check.
  • Must be able to drive from site to site, visiting 10-20 client sites per day.
  • Daytime hours may shift depending on client needs (between hours of 7AM-5PM)
  • Experience in the facilities services and/or janitorial industry are preferred, but not required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates within the healthcare client environment, and is designed as a mobile inventory manager, focused on maintaining a visitation route to key client facilities, utilizing a company vehicle, and company gas card. This position will require extensive driving, up to 750 miles per week.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The ability to drive to multiple client facilities daily. Lift, bend, squat, carry cases of consumable products and equipment such as paper towels, soap, can liners, vacuums, mop buckets. Requires ability to use a keyboard, monitor, and phone. Requires ability to communicate verbally with others. This position requires individuals to be able to drive up to 90 minutes one-way. When offsite, this role requires extensive walking indoors and some outdoors.
