About the Role

We are eager to discuss the prospect of you joining our team as our next incredible team member!

This position reports to the SVP Senior Credit Officer and can be located out of our IncredibleBank branch location in Middleton, WI or Wausau, WI and allows you to partner with other team members and key stakeholders to provide Incredible Customer Experiences of your own! Duties and responsibilities may include:

  • Provides guidance to the credit team/s responsible for analyzing and documenting the repayment ability of current and potential borrowers in the Bank’s Consumer, Commercial, and National lending verticals.
  • Demonstrates ability and retains independent decisioning authority to restructure the terms and conditions of requested loans in order to protect the Bank and its portfolio.
  • Has independent decisioning/approval authorities to commensurate with the breadth and scope of the portfolio (number and dollar amount) for which it has primary responsibility.
  • Drives a high level of independent decision authority for the Bank to include independent loan approval authority.
  • Drives decisions regarding staffing, budgets, and/or goals to align Central Decisioning and Commercial Decisioning with the company’s strategic objectives for consumer, commercial, and national lending verticals.
  • Demonstrates the ability to prepare timely, accurate and comprehensive Credit Memos on the Bank’s most complex loan requests.
  • Recommends departmental policies, practices and procedure to the Senior Credit Officer (SCO)that have a significant impact on the Bank.
  • Identify and report Loan Policy Exceptions to SCO; reviews and recommend changes to loan policy guidelines that adapt to changing business needs and credit environment while complying with regulatory guidance, rules, and examination action plans.
  • Ensure proper risk rating on all loans under its authority.
  • Serves as a member of Credit Review team; proceeds with any changes during the quality control(QC) process as appropriate to maintain favorability in the credit portfolio.
  • Serve as a member of the commercial, national, specialty, and SBA Loan Committees as needed.
  • Oversees all Consumer, Commercial, and National/Specialty Loan decisioning processes,exception review/approvals, maintenance, and training.
  • Oversees all Appraisal/Evaluation/Environmental review processes and approvals.
  • Provides ongoing training and mentorship for the consumer, commercial, national, and central decisioning processes. Recommends best practices and provide training and information sessions to Credit Analysts on new initiatives and procedures.
  • Utilizes in-house data analytics and local, regional, national and global market trends to prepare comprehensive reports on credit risk for various audiences including but not limited to executive management, Board of Directors, auditors and state/federal examiners.
  • Ensure Credit Department is meeting all established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

This is a regular full-time salaried exempt position, averaging approximately 40 hours/week. Schedule may vary between the hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm CST Monday through Friday. 

Intermittent travel may be expected, based on business needs.

This position will work on-site at our IncredibleBank branch location in Middleton or Wausau, WI.

  • Four-year degree from an accredited University or equivalent industry training or experience related to commercial lending, commercial credit underwriting, or central decisioning within the financial industry.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have 10+ years of commercial underwriting experience; analyzing corporate financial statements for credit and financial worthiness.
  • 3-5 years of prior experience decisioning commercial credit requests; in addition to other business verticals like SBA, Home Lending, specialty/niche lending programs, etc.
  • Superior knowledge of all phases of effective credit administrations, policies and procedures,commercial lending and/or real estate lending processes, and analytical practices.
  • 3-5 years of prior leadership and coaching experience.
  • One or a combination of the following liceenses is preferred, but not required: CPA, CBA, CIA.
