Lab Technician (Containment/Assembler) 

Description
  • Part containment/quality inspection of automotive interior parts on a daily basis
  • Properly packaging parts once contained/inspected
  • Properly labeling parts and boxes per customer requirements
  • Assist prototype build team in building parts and recording in PLEX system when neededAssist in adding/maintaining inventory in PLEX system
  • Provide coverage for Prototype Containment Coordinator responsibilities when needed which include but are not limited to:
  • Pulling correct parts for containment per customer delivery schedules
  • Sending notification of daily shipments to Prototype Coordinators for PLEX scheduling
  • Completing and printing container labels in customer part scheduling system
 
Position Requirements
  • Experience with assembly/containment of automotive interior parts or similar
  • PLEX system experience
  • Ability to use various hand tools
  • Good hand eye coordination skills and ability to perform manual labor pulling and lifting over 25lbs
  • Ability to work extended shifts when required
  • Works effectively in a team environment
  • Effective problem solving skills
  • Competent ability with computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Strong degree of self-motivation and self-direction
  • Strong organization and documentation skills
  • Minimal travel to support pre-launch activities

Preferred

  • Experience with wrapping automotive interior components
  • Industrial sewing experience
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under demanding situations
