Description

DXP/Natpro is looking for an Outside Technical Sales Representative, who will promote and secure the sale of Natpro’s pump products to various customers (End Users, Engineering Firms, OEM’s and Contractors) within the assigned territory (Province of Quebec) and market sectors.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Generate sales / prospecting / business development / marketing
  • Identify, qualify and secure sales opportunities for Natpro’s represented products. You will be responsible for execution of a sales plan to achieve year over year growth
  • Promote the entire brand as part of the solution to grow more sales at existing customers by broadening your scope of supply.
  • Develop, nurture and maintain close working relationships with the decision-makers in the assigned markets / accounts
  • Develop monthly / quarterly / annual sales and forecasting reports.
  • Assist the Inside Sales in the preparation of quotations and bid clarifications
  • Provide market, customer and competitor intelligence to Inside Sales during quote preparation.
  • Follow up and close quotes issued by the Inside Sales team
  • Develop in conjunction with the Sales Manager a series of product presentations (i.e. lunch and learns) for target customers
  • Develop and maintain project activity reports indicating status ( i.e. pre-feasibility, budget, RFQ)
  • Promote Natpro’s products at regional trade shows as required.
     

Requirements for the postion, you must have: 

  • Five years demonstrated ability to successfully sell similar products in the assigned geographical area (Province of Quebec)
  • Bilingualism in French/English
  • Ability to effectively present ideas and influence buying decisions
  • Technical education and background preferred
  • Demonstrated analytical skills required for technical documents review and comment.
  • Superior and effective communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Better than average computer skills, particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Superior organizational skills - a self-starter who can work independently and as part of a busy team.
  • Valid Driver's license and ability to produce current driver's abstract
  • Experience with Pumps and Rotating Equipment is considered an asset
