Summary
The Maintenance Engineer takes great care of our hotel’s infrastructure. You will take part in various renovation and repair projects.
In this role, you should be organized and proactive. Familiarity with electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems is essential. If you are committed to meeting health and safety standards, we’d like to meet you.
Ultimately, the goal of this position is to ensure our hotel and grounds are safe, comfortable and functional for guests and employees.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Inspect hotel regularly to ensure it meets safety standards
- Complete routine maintenance in hotel rooms, lobbies and facilities
- Paticipate repair projects in a manner that does not disturb guests
- Act fast to resolve emergency issues (e.g. power outages)
- Find ways to reduce hotel operating costs and conserve energy
- Build relationships with contractors and service providers
- Maintain activity logs
Experience, Skills, and Education
- Some experience as a Hotel Maintenance Engineer is a plus
- Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Familiarity with plumbing, electrical, sewer and HVAC systems; hotel industry experience is a plus
- Ability to spot safety risks and address needs quickly
- Problem-solving aptitude
- Valid Drivers Licence is a plus
