Work at a Glance: Client-focused senior level HR generalist

  • Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Human Resources (SVP, HR), the Senior Manager, Human Resources Business Partner (SM, HRBP) will be responsible for serving as a strong business partner to our internal clients and is expected to deliver effective strategic and tactical HR solutions and recommendations for people-related issues, concerns, and opportunities. This role serves as a connector between HR and the business. The selected candidate will serve as the objective first-line HR expert to managers and employees. This role will serve as a business partner to the organization and is responsible for managing one HRBP. The SM, HRBP collaborates with other internal human resources professionals on all HR matters in support of the HR strategy and organizational goals of NeighborWorks® America.
    • Works closely with the SVP, HR, NeighborWorks America Officers, and other senior leadership to manage, develop, and drive the implementation of HR strategies and change management initiatives that align with the business priorities and goals.
    • Coaches business leaders and people managers on HR policies and processes, including talent planning, learning and development, and performance management to promote engagement and a culture of continuous growth and development.
    • Manages the HRIS performance and analytics team to provide data that influences organizational decision-making with the use of relevant, value-added metrics and data.

Position Requirements

Required Minimum Qualifications:

Education: College level degree, certification(s) and/or equivalent relevant work experience

Experience:

  • Ten (10) years of progressive human resources experience as an HR Business Partner, working in a dynamic environment or in an equivalent role effectively partnering with and delivering quality HR services to internal clients/stakeholders.
  • Five (5) years’ experience management experience, preferably managing HR Business Partners.

Technology: Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access) required. Previous experience with HRIS and Performance Management Systems (PMS).

Working Conditions:

  1. Travel: Up to 10%
  2. Physical/Sensory Demands: Fast-paced working environment with extensive computer usage
  3. Hybrid: This role reports into the office 2 days per week.

HR develops and implements innovative human resources programs that enable NeighborWorks America to attract, develop and retain the best and brightest diverse talent to achieve NeighborWorks’ mission. As a strategic partner with management, HR:

  • Develops creative recruitment plans;
  • Develops and implements competitive comprehensive total compensation including benefits, incentives, awards and salaries.
  • Provides employee development, leadership and programs to help employees retain technical skills; and
  • Implements quality-of-life initiatives that provide increased flexibility for managers and employees and allow NeighborWorks to compete for and retain highly skilled employees.
 
Duration Continuous  
Salary Range $102,400 - $128,000: The salary offered for the role will be based on a variety of factors, including geographic location, internal equity, and the candidate's qualifications/professional experience.
