Description

LifeSource is hiring an Organ Services Administrator to be accountable for engaging in the evaluation and coordination for donation opportunities, supporting the goal of maximizing donation conversion.  

As an Organ Services Administrator, you’ll advance our life-saving work by performing the following job duties:

  • Managing clinical resources to support the donation process internally by participating in the assessment, planning, evaluation, and management of the entire donation process.
  • Identifying and meeting internal and external process improvement, training, and subject matter expert requirements.
  • Serving as subject matter expert internally and with external partners on post donation patient safety.

 

This includes:

  • Logistics planning and transportation coordination for team members traveling for clinical activity and resourcing donation activity across service area
  • Identifying and meeting internal and external customer requirements, including donor hospital and transplant center team members, funeral directors, medical examiners, eye banks and tissue processors
  • Anticipating and recognizing administrative and logistical challenges in the donation process and proactively provide resources for all donation and transplantation processes
  • Tracking and reporting metrics to understand and drive operational outcomes
  • Serving as subject matter experts for donation process, ensuring that all donor evaluations and donation cases are carried out according to relevant regulatory and internal requirements
  • Training and mentoring new team members

Position Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Requires combined education and experience equivalent to 8 years critical care, emergency room, or emergency medical services responsibilities.
  • Prefer leadership experience or demonstration of autonomous decision-making.
  • Certified Procurement Transplant Coordinator (CPTC) designation is preferred at time of hire, but required within 2 years of hire. Once certified, you must obtain the required continuing education or recertification credits/process.
  • Demonstrated ability to exhibit effective communication and interpersonal skills, including clear written correspondence and professional customer service at all levels.
  • Demonstrate work behaviors representative of a leader or coach by displaying outstanding teamwork and collaboration skills.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS / SCHEDULE:

  • This is a .9 FTE role. Must be able to participate in a variable 12-hour schedule which includes days, nights, weekends, and holidays (1 summer and 1 winter holiday per year, rotating).  Variable shifts include a mix of days (5:30a-6p), swing (10:30a-11p), and nights (5:30p-6a).  Schedule includes minimum of 1 weekend per month. Preferred scheduling method.  Start date June 24, 2024.
