Part Time Dietician: Hawthorne, NY

The Section of Adolescent Medicine of BCHP (Boston Children’s Health Physicians of NY/CT)
is seeking a part time dietician in Westchester County, New York to see our eating disorder patients!  Hours: 14 hours per week, schedule to be determined based on availability and practice needs.  Pay rate will be $45/hr-$60/hr, negotiable based on experience,  

Position Description:
Our Adolescent Medicine practice is growing.  We have many patients in our practice with eating disorders who need nutritional support and dietician services.  We are seeking a part-time dietician to help us care for this already existing patient base. 

Our Adolescent Medicine practice is a busy suburban subspeciality practice that provides health care and mental health support to adolescents and young adults ages 12 to 26 years old for adolescent gynecology and contraception with IUD and implant procedures, full gender affirming care, medication management of mental health conditions, primary care as well as eating disorder management.

We are seeking:
High-quality dietary and nutritional counseling services for adolescents and young adults in an Adolescent Medicine specialty private practice multidisciplinary office setting. The dietician will work collaboratively with the physicians, nurse practitioners, behavioral health consultants and other clinical providers in establishing a care plan and ensuring achievement of stated goals.

Job Skills and Experience Desired:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition
  • NYS Certified Dietician
  • Minimum one year experience working with patients with eating disorders.
  • Strong working knowledge of eating disorders and their complications, treatment, adolescent behavior challenges, and vegetarian and vegan diets.
  • Ability to set nutrition goals, develop nutrition plans, and provide nutrition education and counseling
  • Awareness of ongoing developments in eating disorder treatment field and commitment to continued learning
  • Ability to work with adolescents, young adults, and their families.
  • PC experience, Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills - ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff.
  • Detail oriented and able to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
