Controls Engineer 

Description
  • Support program launches at Inteva manufacturing sites, including machine installation, machine debug, installation of a MES traceability system, and meeting all program requirements and dates.
  • Supporting Equipment Engineers for vendor built machines including design approvals, machine buyoffs, and machine installation at Inteva manufacturing sites.
  • Support Inteva In-House machine builds including providing electrical/ pneumatic BOM’s. Using ACAD to develop electrical/ pneumatic schematics. Building electrical panels. Electrical/ pneumatic component assembly. Programming and debugging PLC, HMI, barcode scanners, and any vision systems. Providing recommended electrical/ pneumatic spare parts list.
  • Support Inteva Iver part builds both in-house and at vendor sites.
  • Provide remote VPN support as needed to Inteva manufacturing sites.
  • Support Inteva manufacturing sites with any continuous improvement or in-plant support as needed.
  • Follow all Inteva Protocol and Safety Requirements.
 
Position Requirements

Required: 

  • Experience programming industrial automation and/or custom assembly equipment
  • Proficient with Allen Bradley RS Logix, Factory Talk View
  • Proficient with Cognex and Keyence vision and barcode applications
  • Proficient with MS Office, AutoCAD, VM Ware, Adobe Acrobat, and Zoom software
  • Ability to produce, interpret, and revise electrical/ pneumatic drawings.
  • Ability to travel domestic and international
  • Familiar with NFPA and ANSI standards, LOTO and Risk Assessments
  • Travel (domestic and international) 10%-50%

Preferred:

  • Proficient with Siemens Step 7, Beckoff Structured Text, and C++ software
  • Proficient with Fanuc, and Kuka robot programming.
  • Familiarity with traceability systems
  • Working knowledge and integration of industrial PC’s
  • Knowledge of machine communications including TCP/IP, CIP, and I/O Link
 
Education Requirement Bachelors in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or 7 years plant floor experience as a Controls Engineer
