Position Summary

This internship provides a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of training and development, contribute to impactful initiatives, and develop key skills for a successful career in the chemical industry. As a Vocational Trainer intern, you will play a crucial role in assisting with the development and implementation of training programs that empower individuals with practical skills in the chemical industry.

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist in Curriculum Development:
    • Collaborate with the training team to design and update vocational training materials.
    • Contribute creative ideas to enhance the effectiveness of training programs.
  • Classroom Facilitation:
    • Co-facilitate vocational training sessions under the guidance of experienced trainers.
    • Provide support to participants in understanding and applying practical skills.
  • Individualized Coaching:
    • Work one-on-one with trainees to address specific skill development needs.
    • Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to foster a positive learning environment.
  • Administrative Support:
    • Assist in maintaining accurate records of training sessions, attendance, and participant progress.
  • Participate in Evaluations and Assessments:
    • Participate in assessing the skill levels and learning needs of trainees through training evaluations, identifying knowledge gaps, and contributing to customized training.
    • Contribute to the assessment and evaluation of training program effectiveness.
    • Participate in feedback sessions to continuously improve training content and delivery.

Knowledge Requirements:

  • Education: Relevant academic coursework or pursuing a degree in education, training and development or other relevant fields.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks or challenges.
  • Flexibility in handling changing priorities.
  • Passionate about empowering individuals through training and development.

Physical Requirements

  • Willingness to work in both office and plant settings, with flexibility for tasks involving bending, walking, and lifting/moving objects under 25 lbs.
  • Work environment may require Team members to work around fluctuating temperatures (hot/cold).

Duration and Compensation

  • Earn a minimum of twenty ($20) per hour.
  • Intern a minimum of ninety-six (96) hours over a minimum of eight (8) weeks.
  • Complete internships with challenging, meaningful, and real-work projects and tasks.

This internship position has the possibility of extension based on performance. Internship offers valuable hands-on experience, mentorship, and the potential for future career opportunities within our organization.
