ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain and project professional appearance as it relates to job performance

Patrol and set up for after school events as assigned

Assume fire alarm responsibilities as assigned by the principal

Monitor security surveillance equipment to protect facilities and assets
QUALIFICATIONS:
TRAINING, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE:

Demonstrated aptitude for successful completion of the task assigned

Demonstrated knowledge of security procedures

Private security or public police experience preferred including knowledge of school and local
laws (including search and seizure)
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment is in school site settings. Guardians may be assigned duty stations as long as the guardian is still in close proximity to the school building and can leave to respond to any safety/security concerns.
School guardians may not leave the assigned campus for any reason without permission from the building principal in order for appropriate coverage to be acquired first.
All guardian absences must be requested at least 48 hours in advance and directed to the building principal.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, operate a computer, hand-held learning devices and other office equipment, reach with hands and arms, and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

MEDICAL BENEFITS:
The position shall receive the same health benefits as other full-time employees of the school.
PAID TIME OFF (PTO):
The position shall be required to follow a (ten) 10-month work schedule.
The position shall be granted eight accrued (10) PTO days annually. Calculated and prorated on an annualized basis upon approval by the Board.
