Currentlty accepting applications for HR / Payroll Coordinator for our corporate office in Poughkeepsie, NY.

Responsibilities

The HR / Payroll Coordinator will work in a team environment, with tight deadlines, confidentiality and discretion. The candidate will provide high-level administrative support with additional projects as assigned.

  • Prepare paperwork, schedule, and facilitate new hire onboarding process, coordinating with departments to deliver a suitable new hire experience
  • Handle all administrative tasks for onboarding, new hire orientation, and exit interviews, including entering data into HR information systems and auditing for accuracy and compliance
  • Provide an effective and dedicated HR advisory service to employees in relation to absence and health issues, organizational change, and all other employee-related matters
  • Be the primary payroll processor for bi-weekly, weekly payroll.  Updates to employee files, bonus/incentive pay, tracking vacation/sick pay, importing expense reimbursements, inputting exceptions, hourly employee validations, and benefit changes
  • Assist in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of the employee handbook, employee directory, and organizational chart, and contributes to the development of policies

Skills and Qualifications

  • Additional HR training or experience is preferred
  • Paychex experience is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness
  • Resourceful, problem-solving aptitude required
  • Knowledge of MS Office, comfortable learning new technical systems as needed
  • Proficient in Excel is a preferred
  • Natural interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong detail-oriented and resourceful mindset is mandatory
  • Bilingual is a major plus - Speak, write and read in Spanish

COMPENSATION $55K TO $65k BASED ON EXPERIENCE

Other: This position is mostly sedentary, low, or manageable office noise levels, heavy phone usage, no lifting over 5lbs.

This is an onsite position, not open to a remote option***
