Position Summary
As the Plant Controller you will play a key leadership role within the finance department and plant leadership team. The Plant Controller will report directly to the Operations Finance Controller. The plant controller will partner with Operations leadership to monitor plant performance and provide financial perspective and decision-making support to drive best-in-class performance. This position will manage one manufacturing plant with multiple manufacturing value streams as well as the distribution center linked to this manufacturing facility.
Duties and Responsibilities
As the Plant Controller you will play a key leadership role within the finance department and plant leadership team. The Plant Controller will partner with the Plant Director and Operations leadership to monitor plant performance and provide financial perspective and decision-making support to drive best-in-class performance.
•Additionally, the Plant Controller is responsible for providing timely and accurate financial information and reporting in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
•Finance business partner to the Plant Director and Plant Leadership team.
•Lead continuous improvement efforts associated with internal controls, processes, and procedures.
•Provide financial perspective and decision-making support to improve plant financial performance. including cost reduction and production efficiency improvements.
•Lead reporting and analysis of financial data including understanding drivers associated with business processes, trends, and key performance indicators.
•Lead month-end reporting requirements including plant actual results compared to budget, forecast, and prior periods.
•Optimize usage of the JD Edwards Enterprise One ERP system for manufacturing.
•Lead annual standard cost roll and development for new products.
•Lead development of the annual plant budget and monthly forecasts.
•Lead to implement proper Inventory Controls and valuation methodology and reconcile the perpetual inventory with General Ledger.
•Emphasis on internal communications with staff at all levels throughout the organization; create and promote a positive and supportive work environment.
