Sr. Electrical Engineer/ PM – Part-time

Senior level engineering services and technical leadership of Electronic/Electrical Engineering. Will be responsible for task orders places against the contract and will be accountable by the government for the technical quality, content, and results of all projects.

Designs, tests, installs, and maintains large-scale electronic equipment or machinery for use in manufacturing or power generation or transmission. May use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform assignments. Applies principles and techniques of electrical engineering to accomplish goals. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering and 6-8 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. Successful in solving obsolete part challenges. Solving DMSMS issues, calculating failure rates, redesigning replacement components, determining the mitigate risks and resolve obsolescence issues.  


Coordinates and monitors the scheduling, pricing, and technical performance of company programs. Responsibilities also include aiding in the negotiation of contracts and contractual changes and coordinating preparations of proposals, plans, specifications, and financial conditions of contracts. Develops new business and expands product line. Ensures adherence to master plans and schedules, develops solutions to program problems, and directs work of incumbents assigned to program from various departments. Ensures projects are completed on time and within budget. Acts as advisor to program team regarding projects, tasks, and operations. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Deliver responsive Program Management, including technical direction, quality, cost, and schedule control.


Position Requirements

Basic Requirements

  • Must possess engineering evaluation and advice on USAF depot maintenance processes, service life extension program, assembly/dis-assembly of electrical components of a munitions handling trailer

  • Resolve electrical engineering problems, especially with manufacturing of electrical cables Identify and resolve deficiencies in technical data package and manuals

  • Support design reviews, decide solutions to electrical parts obsolescence

  • Prepare reports; designs components, implements design, manage team

Minimum Required Experience/ No. of Years

  • 10 years’ experience in direct Program Management

  • 7 year’s directly related experience (5 years with a MS degree).

  • At least 3 years progressive responsibility in providing technical leadership.

  • BS/MS in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or Mathematics.

  • US Citizenship

  • Prior military and/ or large entity experience

  • Identify and recommend solution(s) to electrical parts obsolescence and Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) of electrical components of munitions handling trailer

  • Familiar with AN/TPS 75


Preferred Qualification

  • Facility with AutoCAD useful but not required.

  • Experience at Hill AFB or other military installation
