Position Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Specialist  
Description

This role is nonexempt and reports to the Credit Manager.

Credit Department

Reviewing and reconciling Delinquency Activity Report

Monitor accounts - collection calls + letters, payments.

Open and post mail.

Answer phones and service customers with credit questions.

Process all returned checks.

Research past due issues that arise.

COD all past due accounts.

Report past due accounts to the NYS Liquor Authority.

Update customer licenses on NYS Liquor Authority.

Process new customer account applications. Set credit terms. Ensure resale certificates are received.

Directly handle and maintain specific customer accounts as assigned.

Answer and direct the incoming phone lines for entire company as needed.

Customer service.

Reconcile Delivery Driver's receipts.

Scan checks.

Process outgoing mail.

Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills

Well-developed organizational skills.

Above average problem-solving skills.

Customer service experience

Proficient at Word and Excel

Excellent average oral and written communication skills.

Above average interpersonal skills.

Education and Experience

Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, some college preferred.

Salary Range

Nonexempt : $46K-$50K Annual

Position Requirements
  • Experience in both accounts receivable and accounts payable roles.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Associate degree preferred.
