Pediatric Neuropsychologist Position

Boston Children's Health Physicians (BCHP) is looking to fill a full- time pediatric neuropsychologist position providing neuropsychological services to pediatric and adolescent patients with medical disorders. The focus of the position is to provide services within our active clinical programs at BCHP collaborating in the care of children, adolescents, and young adults with a range of medical conditions. Salary approx. $80k-$85k, negotiable based on experience.
The pediatric neuropsychology service within Boston Children's Health Physicians provides outpatient and inpatient evaluations to pediatric medical populations (i.e., pediatric hematology/oncology, neurology, neurosurgery, developmental pediatrics, general pediatrics). Referrals come from physicians within BCHP, attending staff at Maria Fareri Children's Hospital, neurologists, neurosurgeons, developmental pediatricians, pediatricians, and schools. Typical referrals include hematology/oncology, head injury, medical disorders (i.e., epilepsy, sickle cell disease), assessment of late treatment effects from radiation/chemotherapy, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, learning disability, developmental disability, and autism spectrum disorders.
Typical clinical activities include neuropsychological assessment, collaboration with team, attendance at department rounds and specialty clinics when able to. Teaching is an integral part of the position, with expectations to supervise trainees in neuropsychological assessment as well as participate in interdisciplinary teaching with medical students, residents, and fellows. A faculty appointment and participation in academic pursuits at New York Medical College and Touro University is expected.
Qualifications:
- PhD or PsyD in Clinical Psychology from an APA accredited institution and APA accredited internship with experience in neuropsychology and health populations as well as a postdoctoral residency with training in clinical neuropsychology.
- Competitive candidates for this position will have comprehensive training in pediatric neuropsychology, preferably in a medical setting.
- Experience in neuropsychological testing in pediatric and adolescent populations.
- Interest in clinical research is highly recommended.
- Licensed or License eligible in NYS.
- Spanish speaking providers are encouraged to apply and preferred.
