Description

The Mergers & Acquisition Integration Manager is a pivotal member of the Corporate Development team who ensures the success of RoadSafe’s acquisitions. Specific responsibilities (i) ensuring effective transitions from due diligence to integration (ii) planning and executing detailed integration plans; (iii) building exceptional relationships with acquired company and legacy RoadSafe personnel; (iv) ensuring acquisition targets meet synergy targets and business case objectives.

The integration manager is the essential counterpart to the Vice President of Corporate Development. This individual is the true relationship builder between acquired company personnel and legacy RoadSafe employees. He or she is collaborative at their very core and builds collaborative behaviors across all stakeholders. He or she is highly results driven and ensures that the smallest details are executed to completion. He or she has a point of view on continuous improvement and strives to incorporate best practices and learnings from acquisitions to make RoadSafe a better organization.

In addition, working closely with functional leaders to foster a highly collaborative, team-oriented culture and reinforce a positive culture of trust, understanding, tolerance and inclusion.

Accountabilities:

Ensure Effective transitions from Due Diligence to Integration

  • He/she understands newly acquired businesses intimately prior to deals closing.
  • They have already begun building bridges between existing RoadSafe employees and soon to be RoadSafe employees.
  • He/she has a detailed understanding of key risks identified in due diligence which must be addressed and monitored through integration.
  • He/she understands the commercial and operational priorities of the business which must not be sacrificed throughout the integration process.
  • Prepare regular progress reports for the executive team, highlighting achievements, challenges, and upcoming milestones.

Planning & Executing Detailed Integration Plans

  • Create highly structured and detailed integration plans for each acquisition.
  • Coordinate communication and activities between all teams to ensure seamless transition.
  • Define key KPI’s and make and own the activities required to meet these thresholds.
  • Create a full integration tools portfolio including communications, HR notifications, training guides and other relevant deliverables.
  • Define detailed integration budgets and vigorously manage costs and schedules to ensure milestones are met.
  • Solve critical issues quickly and escalate material issues to ensure resolution.
  • Be independently responsible for internal and external integration meetings.

Building Exceptional Relationships with Personnel

  • Recognize that people are the core of all of our acquisitions. Integrity, empathy and honesty are embedded in our actions.
  • Have a point of view to ensure the best outcomes for each acquisition and be willing to respectfully challenge others on key decisions.
  • By acting as the liaison, works with functional leads to address concerns as they arise with key personnel within acquisition project plan.

Ensuring Acquisitions Meet Synergy Targets & Business Case Objectives

  • Create a comprehensive synergy tracking process.
  • Drive accountability for synergy recognition through regular synergy reporting
  • Work with functional leaders to identify additional synergy opportunities through the acquisition process.
