Waiver Home Coordinator

The Waiver Home Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the home. The Waiver Home Coordinator is responsible for implementing the programs and service/supports, supervising all waiver staff personnel, supervising the lives of the individuals served and maintaining the health, safety and medical well being of the individuals living in the home utilizing a person-centered approach to assist the individuals in fulfilling their desires and needs for an independent life. This position will also assist in the development and maintenance of professional, cordial relationships with other professionals of various backgrounds, paraprofessionals and organizations that are involved in the care and support of the individuals served. The position provides a vital link between the individual, family/guardian, SSA, the vocational habilitation programs, the medical professionals and benefit communities. This position serves as a member of the individual's IP/ISP interdisciplinary team and will participate in the Safety Committee for that region. This position assists the Program Director with the overall management of the waiver home program including compliance and budget management. This position will supervise all Waiver Home Direct Support Professionals.

Position Requirements
  • Position requires a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent GED with an Associate Degree in a human services related field preferred.
  • Prior supervisory experience and experience within a community based waiver home is preferred.
  • At least one year previous human services experience preferred.
  • The position will require at minimum, new employee orientation, CPR, First Aid, and CPI behavioral management certifications, Delegated Nursing Med Pass Training within 30 days of hire or assuming position. The incumbent must maintain the appropriate certifications and not allow them to lapse / expire.
  • The position requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with EHVI policy to drive a corporate vehicle.
  • Position also requires a basic knowledge and ability to operate Timekeeping system (Kronos), Microsoft office products (Kronos or Excel is used for the staff schedule), general computer software (I.E. Care Tracker), the internet, email, and general office equipment.
