Position Production Crew Member  
Description

Join the immersive world of ART, MUSIC & AMUSEMENT at AREA15, where the boundaries between reality and limitless creativity blur. Welcome to the "What's Next District.'

As a production crew member, your responsibilities include event venue installation, maintenance, and tear-down following safety guidelines. You'll ensure events are set up in accordance with provided floor plan and torn down on time, guaranteeing that overall set up including decor meets client expectations and leaving the venue ready for the next use. The position directly reports to the Production Lead Crew.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES :

  • Timely installation, changeover, and tear-down of event spaces, encompassing flooring, portable chair placement, operable walls, barricades, staging, tables, and equipment. Safety guidelines must be followed at all times.
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Adhere to day-to-day facility operations assignments, including loading/unloading trucks, waste disposal, and supply replenishment.
  • Maintain equipment and inventory condition. Report any damage or abnormality immediately.
  • Ensure project completion within specified timelines for clients and vendors.
  • Assist with pre and post-event storage and warehousing needs.
  • Perform pre/post-event cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, vacuuming, spot cleaning, washing, stripping, carpet cleaning, window washing, and waxing.
  • Complete repair and maintenance tasks, such as painting, patching, relamping, and furniture repairs as directed.
  • Promptly report irregularities, discrepancies, property damage, loss, or safety concerns to the supervisor.
  • Maintain a consistently professional attitude and appearance.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision, effectively handling pressure and stringent schedules to deliver accurate results in a fast-paced setting.
  • Follow oral and written instructions, communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms.
  • Maintain effective and professional relationships with clients, employees, exhibitors, patrons, tenants, and others encountered during employment.
  • Adhere to all policies, procedures, risk management protocols, safety precautions, rules, regulations, and emergency procedures established at the facility.
  • Remain flexible and adapt to situations as they arise, operating in accordance with established standards and policies of the department and the company.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Exhibit ART! (AREA15's service standards) at all times.

Position Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to work in a dynamic environment with varying levels of sound, crowds, and smoke/haze.
  • Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift.
  • 1 year of experience in setting up large events, such as concerts or music festivals.
  • Ability to perform installations and adjustments following provided floor plans.
  • Proficiency in event equipment assembly, disassembly, and production techniques.
  • Ability to lift and move objects weighing 50 to 80 lbs for up to 10 minutes at a time.
  • Effective eye-hand coordination for repetitive tasks.
  • Proficiency in understanding, speaking, reading, and writing in the English language.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in environments with varying levels of noise and crowds.
  • Ability to work safely in extreme weather conditions, loud noises, or product fumes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to follow directions.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions including extreme heat and cold as well as high winds and rain.
  • Open availability with the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Capability to understand, speak, read, and write the English language.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here represent those that an employee must meet to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:

  • Communicate with others to exchange information (speaking and hearing).
  • Move and walk extensively around the facility.
  • Stand for extended periods during events.
  • Kneel, stoop, reach, crawl, and climb to elevated walkways.
  • Lift and move objects weighing 50-80 pounds for up to 10 minutes at a time.
  • Perform tasks that require repetitive eye-hand coordination.
  • Maintain balance and good manual dexterity.
  • Work both inside and outside of the building.
  • Experience exposure to adverse conditions such as extreme weather, loud noises, or product fumes.
