In this position you will have the opportunity to leverage your strengths and skills to prepare financial reports to track the organization's assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities and other related financial activities. You will be primarily responsible for assisting with month end and quarter end close duties, completing ad hoc financial close projects, and working with various employees across many departments to maintain accurate financial records.   Are you up to the challenge? Support the Finance team members with preparing journal entries, analyses, account reconciliations, bank reconciliations, credit card entry and reconciliations. Support the Finance team members with processing invoices. Assist in maintaining documentation for accounts payable, purchasing, and treasury. Working collaboratively with other members of Finance to assist in preparing monthly financial packages and other management reports. Assist the Controller as needed.   Position Requirements Minimum Qualifications: Eligible candidates must be one of the following: Part-time or full-time students who have completed 24+ credit hours (rising sophomores/juniors/seniors) and are enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited college or university Part-time or full-time students enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited college or university May 2024-2025 graduate (Summer Interns Only) Ability to exercise sound judgment, professionalism and maturity in the workplace Effective communicator in both written and spoken English Good oral and written communication skills Proficiency in use of MSOffice Suite and Google Docs 3.0 GPA or above preferred.   Summer Intern Program Description: 10 weeks; ideally, starting on Monday, June 3 through Friday, August 9, 2024 We expect interns to work 37.5 hours/week, Monday- Friday Preference for New York or Washington, DC based applicants to work a hybrid schedule in those office locations.
