Primary Duties & Responsibilities Work under a Shop Supervisor and with shop team members using applied practices Practice safe, thorough, and positive work habits Study and learn blueprints, sketches or specifications Use basic math skills to calculate dimensions and weights Inspect material to be welded or worked on Perform final inspection on your finished welds Use of an Oxy/Acetylene torch Weld using a variety of different techniques and in various positions Grind and gouge metal for possible extended periods of time Using overhead bridge cranes to move material around Use rigging techniques with overhead bridge cranes and fitting steel using key plates, bull pins, keys, shims, lifting lugs, nuts, u bars, etc. Types of welding will be done with GMAW/FCAW/SMAW Weldments will be in conformation to AWS D1.1 and AWWA D100   Position Requirements Required and Desired Abilities/Qualifications Stainless Steel / Aluminum Weld experience, desired Must be able to perform job duties safely and within a timely manner Must be able to demonstrate safe and positive work habits Must have a high school diploma or equivalent Must be willing to work 40 plus hours per week Must have a reliable transportation Must have a working knowledge of all aspects of the welding industry Able to pass weld test(s) in horizontal and vertical position per ASME Section IX Able to weld using FCAW and GMAW Able to consistently produce X-Ray quality welds in production Compensation Competitive hourly wages depending on experience and qualifications Insurance for health, dental, vision, life insurance and 401(k) Overtime eligibility Job Type: Full-time Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Referral program Vision insurance Shift: 10 hour shift Day shift Weekly day range: Monday to Friday Experience: Welding: 2 years (Required) Stainless Steel/Aluminum Weld: 1 year (Preferred) Work Location: In person   This position is currently accepting applications.
