Job Details:

The successful QA/QC Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all of our projects are conforming to Prism's QC policies and procedures, and to all project specifications including all national and local codes. This individual will perform regular jobsite visits to inspect and observe compliance with the contract, codes, best practices, and internal QC policies.

Responsibilities:

Work with superintendents and foremen to plan, and organize activities concerned with construction projects

Confer with supervisors and foremen to discuss such matters as work procedures, complaints and construction problems.

Perform quality and compliance inspections.

Record and organize all necessary documentation to memorialize the implementation, maintenance and effectiveness of the QC program.

Complete all QC/QA documentation and any other reports that are required for the project.

Formulate reports concerning such areas as work progress, costs and scheduling.

Inspect and test systems and auxiliary equipment to locate and identify problems using reading and testing instruments.

Track, manage, and monitor supplies and materials received and used to complete the project.

Continually develop QC/QA procedures and logs.

Work with and communicate effectively with subcontractors, superintendents, office staff, engineering staff, consultants, and owner's representatives to facilitate project activities.

Coordinates work assignment preparation and completion with other workers.

Monitor and control project through administration, monitoring, and tracking of material to ensure project is completed on schedule and within budget.

Investigate potentially serious situations and suggest corrective measures.

Represent company in project meetings and attend strategy meetings.

Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers and clients.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Work with/train QC Monitor's and Superintendents to promote Prism's *AQTRD Monitor program to monitor quality.

*Our AQTRD Program is design to assure a Quality electrical installation for all of our projects. Having a quality program from the beginning to the end of a project, helps Prism deliver a project we are proud to deliver to our customer and stand behind our craftsmanship. Quality control and assurance helps Prism install at a high level and perform our work with confidence and pride. Quality installation helps us also perform in a safer atmosphere for all of our employees and all other trades working around us. A QA/QC program is only effective when it is practiced and performed from start to finish. BREIF DESCRIPTION:

AQTRD- stands for assured quality, test, report and documentation. The program consists of a full time AQTRD monitor on site. The Monitor is responsible that all of the reports and all documentation are being performed and met by the personnel responsible for the specific task. The QA/QC document manual is designed specifically for each and every Prism project. The guide book is outlined by the corporate QA/QC Director, along with the project team. The guide book is used throughout the project and is submitted along with all other close out documents at the completion of the project. This information accumulated is very valuable for the end user, facility maintenance and any future additions.

Jobsite AQTRD QC Monitor Responsibilities

Assure that the Equipment & Feeder Matrix up to date.

Assure that QC inspection forms are completed in the field and filed before energization.

Assure the Megger log is updated and organized and filed before energization of feeder.

Assure that the torque log is updated, organized and filed before energization of equipment.

Assure with assistance of superintendent and project manager that the project in compliance with job Specifications.

Notify the QC manager if any training needed. (megger, torque wrench, gr. point tester etc.)

Assure that the record drawings are being updated every week.

Assure that Sign-off that proper documentation is completed and filed before start-up of any piece of equipment on project or the energization of feeders.

It is the responsibility of the appointed Quality Control Monitor to assure that each of these tasks are being performed and documented as required. It is not a requirement that the QC Rep. perform each of these task personally, just to assure that they are completed and documented at the time of the inspection/task. (Not tested and documented in the trailer at a later time)

Requirements:

Proven people management, process management, and performance management skills

Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work

Attention to detail and problem solving skills

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Strong knowledge of electrical installation requirements and NEC

Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
