Founded in 2000, ESI began as a heater reconditioning company for the North Slope oil fields. since then ESI has continued a tradition of innovative designs for extreme industrial applications. Our manufacturing line is largely customer driven, based on the ideas, input, and requests we receive. Description

Position Summary:   Do you have some mechanic experience and considering to become a skilled equipment mechanic? Competitive wages, on-line training, in-person training and one of the best shops in town! Our Shop Hand position was created to help our Service Technicians around the shop, but more importantly, to create opportunities for candidates with some technical experience to move up the ladder in the service shop. There is always growth opportunities in:

  • Equipment Assembly
  • Entry Level Service Technician
  • Senior Service Technician
  • Other areas at Equipment Source

We have on the clock, online and in-person training to help our technicians learn new skills and improve work performance.

Duties:

  • Assist with basic service and maintenance tasks
  • Operate equipment
  • Operate company vehicle
  • Prepare yard for start and close of business
  • Ensure all small to medium equipment is ready to rent and staged or pre-loaded
  • Load and unload customer equipment as yard flow dictates
  • As equipment is returned, communicate to those that need to know
  • Inspect returned equipment for need of repairs and/or washing, and communicate/follow through accordingly
  • Stage returned equipment for turnaround to be rented
  • Pick-up and deliver items in the worksite area
  • Keep yard area clean and organized, including snow removal, moving equipment and/or vehicles as needed
  • Observe health and safety precautions required to protect people and property
  • Identify potential safety or maintenance issues and communicate them to management
  • Assist retail and rental customers as needed
  • Assist with receiving of parts and equipment as needed
  • Assist with showroom organization and cleanliness as needed
  • All other duties as assigned
 
Position Requirements

Education, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Clean driving record
  • Knowledge of machines and tools
  • Able to work independently
  • Able to lift 90lbs
  • Able to operate heavy equipment
  • Able to perform routine maintenance on equipment
  • Weekly company vehicle checks
  • Able to communicate effectively with management and co-workers, to include taking instruction from multiple sources
