Apache Casino Hotel is known as one of the premier and friendliest gaming properties in Southwest Oklahoma. Since it's opening in 1999, the property has seen continual growth in both gaming and non-gaming assets. The property currently offers over 860 slot machines, 9 table games, a luxurious 132 room hotel with 225 occupancy banquet space, two delicious restaurants, coffee shop and a convenience store.

Description

Position: Guest Services Facilities/EVS/Grounds

Department: Casino Guest Services

Reports to: Manager/Supervisor on Duty

FLSA Status: Exempt, Full-Time Salary

Summary:

WSC Guest Services Facilities oversees EVS and Facilities areas of WSC, WYE C-Store and the grounds. Maintains the properties interior and exterior including cleaning, repairs, and provides exceptional guest services.

Position Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years’ experience in facility maintenance, housekeeping operations, or equivalent combination of Facilities & EVS experience including heavy duty cleaning.
  • Proven knowledge of and competent ability with tools and techniques associated with typical facility repairs in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, flooring, roofing, and wall coverings.
  • Proven record of working independently when required, and accomplishing tasks without direct supervision, with an ability to think creatively to solve problems, evaluate data and learn.
  • Experience reading complex blueprints, specifications, vendor catalog cut sheets, contractor submittals, pipe diagrams, sketches, schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of utility equipment, functions and cleaning chemicals.
  • Highly motivated and self-directed, with excellent interpersonal, customer service and leadership skills including team building, mentoring and problem-solving, with the ability to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
  • Ability to obtain and retain a gaming license.

Essential Functions

  • Develop and Mentor FSA Tribal Members within your department.
  • Portray a positive attitude under all circumstances, understand and represent the core values of WSC and live the mission of providing exceptional service at all times.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of Environmental Services operations.
  • Provide a positive, empowering work environment through example setting and consistency of day-to-day work habits, ensuring consistent, high quality maintenance standards for all EVS areas.
  • Work with chemicals and cleaning machines such as buffer, stripper, commercial extractor, etc., having knowledge of basic operation and maintenance of equipment and sanitation systems, MSDS, and OSHA regulations.
  • Monitor and examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies, procedures and performance standards, ensuring team members understand and are accountable for their areas of responsibility.
  • Be knowledgeable and ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations, laws, and internal policies and procedures.
  • Study and standardize procedures to improve efficiency of team members.
  • Perform other related duties as may be assigned.
  • Understand and comply with the Eye, Hi, Goodbye program.
  • Regular attendance is required.

  • Ability to operate various types of equipment used in your department, for example cleaning machines, personal computers, printers, copy machines, facsimile machines, and telephone.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

The physical demands and work environment characteristics described are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential job functions.

While performing job duties the team member must be able to maneuver in and around casino, hotel, event center and public areas, will occasionally sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The team member will stand for prolonged periods of time, and is required to walk, climb ladders and stairs, balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The team member must occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and push, pull, drag and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

While performing job duties the team member is regularly exposed to risks associated with travel between buildings and back and forth to other areas as may be required due to business demands. The team member is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, including second-hand environmental smoke. The noise level in the work environment varies from light to moderate, and there are fluctuations in lighting due to flashing lights from slot machines and band lighting.

At a minimum, the selected candidate will be required to pass a background check and drug-screening test and obtain a gaming license.
