Your role at MOBE

The Manager of Clinical Pharmacy will provide leadership and guidance to a team of clinical Pharmacists and Lead Pharmacists. The Manager is responsible for the effective execution of pharmacy services in accordance with organizational and departmental policies, procedures, and business needs. A combination of clinical expertise and business acumen is necessary to succeed. The Clinical Pharmacy Manager will have the freedom to operate at maximum capacity within the designated role, guaranteeing exceptional Participant care and devising plans for expansion.

The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated, innovation-driven individual having strong interpersonal skills, is detail-oriented and has experience in leadership administration.

**This is a hybrid position. Candidates have the choice of working out of our Minneapolis, MN office or Reno, NV office.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all daily clinical and operational activities of the Medication Services Department
  • Plan, manage, evaluate tasks and functions of Clinical Pharmacists and support team member
  • Partner closely with other Participant-facing leaders to ensure an efficient, consistent Participant experience with a team-based approach to work
  • Apply financial discipline in balance with medication optimization, patient safety, cost effective medication strategies, and coordination of care
  • Monitor, evaluate, and manage team member productivity, performance, time, and attendance
  • Ensure projects, processes, and initiatives are executed in the expected time frame
  • Manage operational processes that ensure regulatory and contractual compliance
  • Solve day-to-day operational issues directly or by leading internal teams to a solution
  • Identify and constructively communicate the need for improvements or enhancements to MOBE’s clinical programs
  • Adjust workflow and responsibilities according to business and operational needs
  • Identify training needs and create training, in collaboration with the Lead Pharmacists and other support team members
  • Maintain effective communication with SVP of Operations and leadership teams on initiative progress, key performance metrics, and operational issues, including staffing resources, program and technology needs
  • Develop policies and procedures as needed
  • May serve as a preceptor for Pharmacy Residents and College of Pharmacy students
  • Effectively administer performance evaluations for Medication Services team including: developmental feedback, goal setting, competency assessment, and progressive discipline
  • Analyze trends to identify areas of opportunity and implement the appropriate use/development of protocols and guidelines
  • Willingness to obtain and maintain appropriate state licensure
  • Other duties as assigned to help fulfill our Mission
 
Position Requirements

Qualifications

Required:

  • Current working knowledge of best practices in medication therapy management and healthcare business practices
  • Doctor of Pharmacy from an accredited pharmacy school
  • Licensed Pharmacist in good standing – no prior or current actions against license
  • 3 - 5 years’ experience as a Clinical Pharmacist
  • Ability to interpret data into useable information and apply these insights to Medication Services operations and performance
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail without over complicating issues or solutions
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills
  • Able to work independently and with remote teams of staff
  • Excellent ability to collaborate, drive for results, and focus on continuous improvement
  • Ability to build and maintain personal rapport, demonstrating compassion and comfort with discussing sensitive topics
  • Comfortable navigating change, ambiguity and remaining flexible
  • Competent with health and lifestyle change through empowering problem solving rather than providing solutions
  • Must have a desire to be a part of an organization looking to transform health culture

Preferred:

  • 2+ years’ experience in a manager or supervisor role
  • Experience providing Comprehensive Medication Management and/or ASHP-accredited residency in Ambulatory Care,
  • Board Certified Ambulatory Care Pharmacist (BCACP), ACCP Comprehensive Medication Management (CMM) Implementation Certificate or equivalent
