Your role in helping us shape the future:

U.S. News empowers everyone to thrive. As a Senior Product Analyst in our Education Vertical, you will work closely with a cross-functional team to guide the development of products and services from conception to launch. A critical component of this position will be to support product managers with the research and analytics they need to make good product decisions.

 

Are you up to the challenge?

  • Providing tactical support to product managers through the entire development lifecycle, including assisting with technical specifications and QA.

  • Analyzing key metrics to understand product performance, including running A/B tests, predictive modeling, and dashboard development

  • Competitive and user research

  • Sharing analytical insights with internal team and senior executives

 
Position Requirements

You should definitely have:

  • Three to five years of similar or related experience.

  • Experience with Google analytics products, especially GA4, BigQuery and Lookerstudio

  • Experience in SQL or similar syntax

  • A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Math, Engineering or a similar major, or equivalent experience

  • Experience in product, marketing, or business analytics

  • Strong analytical skills; an understanding of product metrics and business KPIs; ability to extract insights from data analysis and translate them into actionable takeaways

  • Strong presentation skills; ability to build visualizations to communicate takeaways to management and key stakeholders

  • Strong storytelling, communication, and organizational skills

 

It would be nice if you had:

  • Experience with UX Design or Research

  • Experience with agile project management

  • In New York City, the anticipated base salary for this position is $65,000 to $85,000. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, interview performance, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
