Summary of Position:
Watchtower Security, a rapidly expanding organization, is seeking a qualified individual to join our team as a System Design and Solutions Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for creating comprehensive presale visuals, maps, and corresponding budgets for our cutting-edge surveillance systems. Collaborating closely with internal teams including Sales, Project Management, and Service, as well as engaging with current clients and prospects, you will ensure the seamless implementation of our technology solutions within the multifamily industry.

Project Implementation and Design Supervisor
Essential Job Functions:
- Develop presale surveillance design maps and cost projections based on Watchtower Security's design principles, ensuring optimal placement of cameras, routers, switches, radios, and other necessary equipment.
- Act as a liaison between the sales team and operational departments, providing technical expertise and support during client interactions and sales meetings.
- Collaborate with sales representatives to understand client needs, offering tailored solutions and recommendations to meet specific requirements.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews to evaluate the success of deployed solutions, gather feedback from customers, and identify opportunities for further improvement or optimization. Including analyzing performance metrics, assessing customer satisfaction, and making recommendations for future enhancements.
- Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for clients and internal teams to ensure effective utilization of the implemented solutions. Additionally, creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation, including user guides, system configurations, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Collaborate effectively with key departments throughout the entire design life cycle to ensure alignment and coherence.
- Refine and adjust presale budgets to align with the proposed system designs, maintaining accuracy and viability.
- Stay abreast of the latest system design training and industry best practices to integrate cutting-edge technological advancements into our solutions.
- Utilize Vectoring and PDF software to create customer-facing visuals and maps, emphasizing clarity and precision.
- Uphold company standards in all customer-facing materials, delivering a polished and professional presentation.
- Provide support for various projects within the Sales departments as required.
Job Skills and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent experience providing a solid foundation in system design principles, technical concepts, and networking fundamentals.
- Preferred certifications in camera and wireless network providers such as Axis, Ubiquiti, Cambium, or others.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of assessing project requirements, evaluating design options, identifying potential issues, and proposing optimal solutions.
- Demonstrated technical aptitude, including a robust understanding of networking concepts, IP-based systems, and surveillance technologies, encompassing routers, switches, radios, camera specifications, and system integration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant programs such as Inkscape, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe PDF.
- Adaptive and collaborative team player, committed to contributing to team success in varying situations.
- Proficient in customer focus, capable of engaging in technical discussions with clients to navigate effective system design solutions.
