JOB SUMMARY: The Creative Lead is a member of Hancock Health Marketing. The Creative Lead is responsible for consulting with Account Executives and other Hancock Associates to define and design Hancock owned digital, print, and merchandise solutions to meet business needs. The Creative Lead oversees the creative process for tactics that require new creative design and as needed, new content. Additionally, the Creative Lead is responsible for identifying opportunities for process improvement and alignment as well as coaching Marketing team members to ensure optimized team quality and efficiency.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversees the consistency and continuity of brands across a variety of Hancock Health tactics related to concept development, tactic creation, referencing, and annotating.
  • Effectively collaborates with and engages outside suppliers as needed for design, printing, or photography content development, including collaborating for pricing quotes.
  • Seamlessly partners with Hancock Health colleagues in Marketing, other business areas and suppliers to address internal and external customer needs.
  • Embraces and follows brand creative criteria.
  • Develops and oversees development of layouts of rough ideas.
  • Explores/develops/produces innovative ideas that are on strategy.
  • Partners with the Marketing team to develop all content (copy and art) to ensure that creative concepts are strategically on target, content meets company standards of creative excellence, and is efficiently delivered with high quality.
  • Provides direction and coaching to designers, and production staff to ensure proper production of campaign elements.
  • Works independently as well as with the Marketing team to develop creative and effective advertising concepts from ideation through final projects.
  • Proactively solves creative problems.
  • Recognizes and addresses important details with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Identifies opportunities for Marketing process improvement and alignment and coaches Marketing team to ensure optimized team quality and efficiency.
  • Take a lead role in determining the visual application of our brand to a range of programs and initiatives.
  • Maintain, promote, and enhance the graphics standards and brand guidelines.
  • Work collaboratively with a variety of client personalities to successfully conceptualize, design, and complete projects.
  • Conceptualize unique visual solutions for marketing purposes. Provide coordination services to external agencies to secure external branding services, including gathering pricing quotes, ordering products, and ensuring reasonable delivery timetables.
  • Collaborate for file management of photos, PDF documents, design files, and logos for the organization’s assets via a shared server.
  • Manage supplies pertinent to daily production, including paper, toner, mounting materials, ink, etc.
  • Work within budgetary constraints to complete projects within the assigned budget and deadlines.
  • Maintain an “open door” policy and the ability to complete “stat” projects.
  • Create digital templates and styles to ensure consistency in the appearance of the brand.
  • Support media strategy and placement activities as needed.
  • Oversee the organization of creative Marketing files on a shared server.
  • Maintain expertise in the usage of equipment and software programs required to perform assigned job functions and complete training as needed.
  • Maintain awareness of design trends, marketing and research tools, and other associated professional subjects.
  • Performs any other tasks or related duties as assigned by the Director.

  • Maintains individual design project schedule where tasks, resources and due dates are completed an ideal sequence so overall projects can be completed on time. (with this one I’m trying to address the looking ahead at coming projects, vs what is due that day)
  • Works collaboratively with a variety of team and client personalities to successfully conceptualize, design, and complete projects.
  • Design a variety of digital and print projects, including but not limited to branding and logo design, apparel design, print ads, brochures, booklets, fliers, outdoor, interactive/web ads, video graphics, and creative presentations.
  • Collaborate to generate associate-targeted content to ensure employees are up-to-date and engaged in the organization — mediums of communication including newsletters, e-mails, fliers, memos, bulletin boards, and more.
  • In collaboration with the Marketing & Content Manager, manages internal and external team workflow and delegation to ensure the orderly and timely execution of services
  • Maintain awareness of design trends, marketing tools, and other associated professional subjects.
  • Collaborates with Marketing & Production Specialist to maintain digital monitors throughout the network.

Position Requirements

MANDATORY LICENSE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION:

CERTIFICATION/LICENSE:

ADDITIONAL LICENSURE/CREDENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

A degree in art, graphic design, or a related field is strongly recommended.

ADDITIONAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Mandatory Continuing Education: Customer Service, Fire and Safety, Corporate Compliance (including Confidentiality), Infection Control, and education required by regulatory, accreditation bodies, scope of practice, and/or Hancock Regional Hospital. ???????

  • 5 - 7 years of design and agency experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication skills including but not limited to excellent writing/editing, grammar, and spelling.
  • Knowledge of print, web, and interactive design standards.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience with e-mail based marketing platforms is desirable.
  • Proficiency with budget and time management.
  • Experience with project management software
  • Familiarity with the use of a creative brief.
