We have an exciting opportunity to join the team as IT Operations Engineer! Qualified candidates will have a solid understanding of Windows server administration, Active Directory, VMWare, experience supporting cloud-native applications, and possesses strong troubleshooting skills and technical aptitude.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide enterprise-wide technical support for the company's diverse portfolio of applications, including application configuration, server hardening & security, problem identification & resolution, and application support
  • Provide second level technical support for the underlying IT infrastructure and escalated user issues. Provide root cause analysis for technical issues and escalate as necessary. First responder for technical issues with custom applications, SQL Server, IIS, certificates, and related infrastructure issues • Document policies, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to help maintain a knowledge base for the team
  • Configure Windows servers, application programs, scripts and other tools as requested by developers and support automated code push tools to facilitate software changes and enhancements.
  • Work with vendors and internal technical teams to troubleshoot and resolve application issues.
  • Monitor assigned systems and applications performance to maintain agreed performance SLAs. Take proactive steps to improve performance when necessary
  • Participate in the software development life cycle (SDLC) by ensuring any technical or security requirements for new projects involve the responsible IT teams.
  • Assist technical teams in migrating applications from co-located data center "on prem" to a cloud-native SaaS solution.
  • Participate in technical on-call rotation and off hours work when required.
  • Prepare, and deliver detailed presentations to management to illustrate ideas for technical or process improvement.
 
Position Requirements

Required Skills:

  • Strong troubleshooting background
  • Ability to meet SLAs in a fast paced environment
  • Detail oriented and customer focused

Required Experience:

  • 3+ years’ experience in an IT support role
  • Experience with server administration in a Windows environment
  • Experience configuring and maintaining Active Directory
  • Experience configuring and maintaining VMWare enterprise apps (vCenter, Horizon)
  • Experience automating routine tasks

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Experience maintaining cloud-based applications (Azure and AWS)
  • Linux experience a plus
  • SQL Server experience a plus
  • Cloud-native (Azure and AWS) configuration/ administration skills a plus

Education:

  • H.S. Diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or related field preferred
  • MCSE, CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Server+ certifications preferred

Schedule:

  • Full time, Monday-Friday 9:00AM to 6:00PM 
  • Occasional on-call hours
