Welcome to the "What's Next District.”   The Visual Merchandiser plays a crucial role in elevating the overall retail experience by creating visually captivating displays. They ensure that all visual elements align with AREA15's brand identity and merchandising standards. The Visual Merchandiser provides valuable insights to the buying team, proposes innovative products, and collaborates with various teams to support merchandising initiatives across the department and property. Cultivate a positive and engaging shopping environment through service and product placement, aligning with property-wide brand strategy, and shaping the future of festival-inspired retail experiences at AREA15. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Design and implement visually captivating displays that embody the uniqueness of each retail location. Ensure all visual elements align with the brand identity and merchandising standards. Provide personalized styling consultations to guests, understanding their individual preferences and curating individual looks. Stay current with retail trends, including festival and nightlife/day-life, private label, and tech, to understand the changing preferences of our target audience. Propose new and exciting products that align with the AREA15 brand. Plan and execute floor sets, ensuring a seamless visually appealing shopping experience. Coordinate with the leadership team to optimize product placement. Conceptualize and execute weekly and monthly mannequin sets based on the directives provided by the creative team, and offer recommendations or feedback as needed. Cultivate a positive and engaging shopping environment through service and product placement. Work closely with leadership to understand and align with property-wide brand strategy. Collaborate with the design team to ensure that visual merchandising aligns with the overall aesthetic and brand standards. Support merchandising initiatives across the department and property, including pop-up activations, carts, the branded store, Rocket Fizz, and event retail. Collaborate with various teams to ensure a brand-aligned approach. Collaborate closely with retail team members to ensure understanding and adherence to merchandising standards. Exhibit ART! (AREA15's service standards) at all times. Adhere to department and company policies and procedures. Be available to respond to time-sensitive matters. Maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance, adhering to AREA15 standards. Work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Minimum 2 years of experience as a Visual Merchandiser in a festival or lifestyle retail setting. Prior experience in planning and executing pop-up retail spaces is preferred. In-depth knowledge of festival and nightlife culture, lifestyle trends, and their impact on consumer behavior. Strong creative and artistic abilities, with an eye for detail and a passion for storytelling through merchandising. Applicants are encouraged to submit a portfolio that showcases their previous visual merchandising work, demonstrating creativity and the ability to tell a story through merchandising. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Ability to adapt to a dynamic fast-paced retail environment. Experience in establishing and maintaining interpersonal relationships. Ability to commute between office and venue(s). Availability for varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to work in an environment subject to varying levels of noise, crowds, flashing lights, and smoke.
