Pay Range: $18.00 to $18.95 an hour. Based on your education, experience, and credentials.
Available Work Schedule (Full-Time)
- Monday - Thursday: 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
What You Will Be Doing
This position will provide direct services – including Day & Vocational Habilitation and Non-Medical Transportation Services – for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and behavioral health challenges. We pride ourselves on providing a safe and well-structured environment while embracing a person-centered and community integrated philosophy. Programs are community and/or center based – including outings with the people we support.
Regarding times of unexpected or temporary inability to provide services in the community (inclement weather, pandemic, etc.), some services may be provided in a facility or the individuals residence to help prepare them for future community services or to engage in community events from a distance or online. Primarily, our program is community-based with regular outings with the people we support.
Required Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Driver’s License and Insurable Driving Record.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Two years’ experience working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Must be able to function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity and the ability to work effectively with consumers and other staff.
- Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset and at times hostile people within the facility.
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
