The Director of Graduate Enrollment is a key leadership role within the university's Enrollment and Marketing division, providing strong graduate recruitment knowledge and best practices to build and support a robust graduate student recruitment strategy. The Director will oversee a team of Graduate Admissions team members, called Student Experience Mentors. The Student Experience Mentor is designed as a one-stop-shop for all graduate students seeking to further their education at Moravian University. The Director will be responsible for overseeing the successful recruitment of graduate programs, ensuring adherence to best practices, and in collaboration with faculty and Program Directors to meet or exceed institutional enrollment targets. The Director should be prepared for a dynamic and constantly changing environment supporting new academic offerings while maintaining and growing current program enrollment and increasing graduate student persistence.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, execute, and assess on an ongoing basis, a strategic graduate enrollment plan in conjunction with the VP of Enrollment and Marketing and the Executive Director of Undergraduate and Graduate Admissions.
  • Partner with senior leadership to manage search vendor relationships and utilize marketing data to inform marketing efforts to support current and future program launches.
  • Partner with the Enrollment Operations Team to build a best-in-class enrollment process, ensuring efficiency, transparency, and compliance while delivering excellent customer service to prospective students.
  • Refine, develop, and assess Graduate Student retention and persistence efforts.
  • Lead and professionally develop a dynamic team consisting of admissions staff members (Student Experience Mentors), Graduate Assistant(s), and Student Workers.
  • Create a culture of sales excellence and best practices, supported by an enrollment operations-centered approach to student recruitment.
  • Ensure compliance with university policies and programmatic accreditation related to admissions, where applicable.
  • Collaborate with academic departments to understand program offerings and foster relationships with faculty.
  • Work with the Graduate Admissions team, faculty, and marketing to continue building and marketing the identity of Graduate student enrollment at Moravian University.
  • Work with Lancaster enrollment leadership to support the creation and expansion of graduate and adult enrollment in Lancaster.
  • Utilize enrollment management systems to track key performance indicators and generate insightful reports on enrollment funnels for all assigned programs.
  • Collaborate with the financial aid office to attract and support graduate students through scholarships and financial aid programs.
  • Stay informed about best practices in graduate enrollment management, contribute to professional development, and promote diversity and inclusion in higher education.
  • Manage a small pipeline of assigned programs to recruit for.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by the Executive Director of Undergraduate and Graduate Admissions or their designee.

 

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred, and a minimum of 5 years of experience in college or university admission preferred; excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to represent the University effectively to various audiences; and an ability and desire to work closely with all constituencies of the University including students, staff and faculty, in addition to the general public; demonstrated commitment to and success in working with a diverse population of students and parents/supporters; demonstrated ability to manage the visit processes and experiences and leverage data in decision-making; an understanding of the higher education and enrollment landscapes and prospective student markets; sense of humor, innovative thinking, and a data-informed orientation; familiarity with marketing email and social platforms and the design and execution of drip-marketing campaigns; experience leveraging event management tools, and an understanding of how customer data integrates with an institutional CRM; computer literacy, as well as experience with a CRM (Salesforce/TargetX is preferred), Microsoft Office, Google drive, particularly database applications, word processing and spreadsheets, is required.
