Master's Level Outpatient Therapist 

Description
  • Provide direct clinical psychotherapy services to both adult and child consumers. Clinical psychotherapy services includes drug and alcohol, individual, group, couples, marital, family, S.E.L.F model (Safety, Emotions, Loss and Future), safety plans and collateral psychotherapy utilizing commonly accepted theories and techniques.
  • Complete appropriate documentation relevant to indirect case management services. Maintain case notes, case files, treatment plans, case reviews, case revisions, authorization and relevant paperwork requirements to insure complete, ethical, uninterrupted clinical care for consumers and their families.
  • Conduct appropriate consultation with the Community Guidance Center treatment team regarding clinical care and policies/procedures. Attend scheduled supervision with the immediate supervisor and openly communicate all issues which impact quality of clinical care. Conduct external consultation with other community providers, schools and agencies as indicated regarding clinical care.
  • Attend department meetings/staffings and other meetings relevant to maintaining sound clinical case management using emotional intelligence.
  • Maintain appropriate professional continuing education requirements. Stay informed of current regulations, policies and procedures related to clinical and administrative practices. Maintain all documentation and fiscal standards, maintain complete files and clinical documentation, track authorizations and submit authorizations in a timely manner as needed. Comply with quality assurance guidelines. Maintain awareness of all Federal, State and Managed Care laws, policies, regulations and procedures regarding clinical care, Best Practices Guidelines, and appropriate fiscal requirements related to Clinical services utilizing social responsibility.
  • Adhere to seven recognized Sanctuary commitments which includes social responsibility, social learning, non-violence, open communication, democracy, emotional intelligence, growth and change.
 
Position Requirements
  • A Master Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or a mental health related field from a regionally accredited college or university for mental health positions.
  • Act 33, 34, FBI clearances and Act 31 Certificate
  • At least 2 years experience in providing clinical services to adults in a community setting preferred
  • Independent license as a Mental Health Practitioner in Pennsylvania preferred
  • Solid organizational skills and time-management skills
  • Ability to think clearly during times of crisis and define safety plans with staff and/or consumers
  • Must demonstrate emotional intelligence when dealing with conflict between staff and/or consumers. Must be able to negotiate, navigate, and coordinate the multiple services involved in Referrals and consumer cases
