WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
In this position you will be part of a fast-paced environment, supporting Project Managers and Engineers for services related to transportation planning, bicycle/pedestrian planning, land use analysis and impacts, research, analysis and impacts; and environmental documents. If you enjoy working on multiple projects & collaborating with others, this is a great opportunity!
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Degree Programs: Currently enrolled or completed a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in urban planning, public policy, geography, public Administration or other closely related field from an accredited college.
- Minimum Cumilative GPA: 2.8. Desired 3.2
- Basic understanding of planning principles and knowledge of land use.
- Basic skills in client needs assessment, meeting quality standards for service, and evaluation of client satisfaction.
- General knowledge in related software (i.e. ArcGIS, Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
- General knowledge and skills in GIS and its planning uses.
- Strong composition, grammar and proofreading skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Possess a valid driver’s license as travel to various facilities and job sites may be required.
Each year we look for variety of experience, education, and ability for our student intern pool. Some positions may be filled with students who have experience depending on the level of complexity a project or client may require. Preference may be given to students who have completed a previous internship with Bolton & Menk.
Relocation and housing are not included.
