Job Details:
The BIM Detailer will be responsible for performing routine assignments requiring a thorough knowledge of Computer-aided drafting (CAD/Revit) system standards, practices, and techniques. We are looking for a self-starting, detailed orientated, organized BIM detailer who is a team player with good communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Work with Virtual Designers producing detailing Shop drawings from the BIM model for field installation.
- Assist in file clean-up, titleblock and sheet setups, compile files for composite coordination, tagging and dimensioning model/drawing.
- Update drawings to reflect changes made during field installation to produce Record Drawings.
- Working within the BIM model placing Light Fixtures and other Electrical/System items.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED required
- 0-2 Years’ Experience in performing Computer aided drafting.
- CAD degreed and/or Electrical field experience preferred.
- Proficient with Autodesk Revit production software.
- Ability to work with Navisworks to view and extract information from the BIM model.
- Ability to read and comprehend construction blueprints and project specifications.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
- Capable of working on multiple projects concurrently.
- Ability to learn and to follow directions from the Virtual Design team.
- Ability to complete task with accuracy and strong attention to detail while meeting aggressive project schedules.
- Must be a self-starter, with the ability to work well individually and as part of a team.
- Field experience in the construction trade and Electrical/Systems trade a plus.
- Bluebeam experience is a plus.
