School Based Health Care Coordinator

As the School-Based Health Care Coordinator you will provide greater accessibility to young people and educators seeking care within the school system as well as maintain existing relationships within the school districts and working to form new partnerships within the community.

 

Job Specific Responsibilities

1. *Oversees daily activities of the SBHC program.

  • Manages team schedules
  • Provides operational direction
  • Collaborates with Scheduling Department to create schedules for Mobile Clinics
  • Develops grant proposals

 

2. *Coordinates Mobile Clinic Days

  • Communicates with schools to determine schedule
  • Coordinates with multiple internal departments to staff school clinics
  • Arranges for mobile unit driver
  • Arranges for set up and tear down of mobile units
  • Ensure staff have been trained and signed off on competencies to safely use the trailer.

 

Requirements:

-Graduation from a LPN program at an Accredited school.

-Licensed in the State of Illinois and/or willing to get licensed in Iowa.

-OR-

-Graduation from a Medical Assisting program at an Accredited school

-Certified from NCCT or NCMA preferred, not required

-OR-

-Current RN licensed in Iowa and Illinois, BSN preferred.

 

**Flexibility required as work will be handled through local school systems and Community Health Care Clinics- local travel between CHC clinics and school districts + surrounding areas.
