Regional Neonatal Follow Up Program

COVID vaccine will be required unless medical / religious exemption. Regional Neonatal Follow up Program seeks one per diem Clinical Psychologist with extensive experience in early childhood development, and the administration of neurodevelopmental testing for this age group (0-3 years). Fluent in Spanish a plus! Pay rate approx. $95/hr-$100/r, negotiable depending on experience.

Primary Responsibility:

  • Administering, scoring and interpreting the results of the Bayley Scales of Infant & Toddler Development 3rd edition (BSID 3RD ed) for children seen in our program. Flexibility to expand proficiency of testing expertise utilizing other diagnostic kits such as the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, second edition would be preferred. Our program does participate in NIH as well as industry sponsored research with long term outcomes utilizing tools such as the BSID 3rd ed included in the study protocol, to be performed by the successful candidate.

Patient Population:

  • Primarily two and three-year-old term and preterm children who were formerly admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit after birth. These children were identified as being at increased risk for neurodevelopmental impairment.

Locations and Scheduling:

  • In person testing will be performed at one of our four outpatient clinic locations in Middletown NY, Rockland NY, Westchester NY, and Poughkeepsie NY. Evaluations will be scheduled on dates and at locations which are mutually convenient to the successful candidate and our program on a per diem basis, typically 2-4 days per month. Our program administration will be responsible for all scheduling of patients, verification of insurance, and all billing. Payment to you will be on a per diem basis.
