As our services expand throughout North Central KS, we are looking to add an Information Resources Coordinator to the team.  This role will assist people with short and long-term disabilities in gathering information, ideas, resources, referrals and other assistance while aiding in the navigation of systems and processes to reach or recover independence.

We are looking for a high energy person with excellent communication skills and in depth knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, children’s services, and aging services.  Must be customer focused with the ability to think creatively in diverse situations while assisting people, family members, or community members with resources.                                                                   

Must be excellent in forming and maintaining relationships and confidentialities.

 

 
Position Requirements

Duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure that OCCK’s mission and values are followed.
  • Work closely with all service departments to ensure customers get connected with effective services.
  • Maintain extensive up-to-date knowledge on resources and services to ensure accurate information is always available 
  • Stay informed on changes that impact services.
  • Coordinate and track information and referrals.
  • Document all interaction into the appropriate database.
  • Provide general information to people and their families.
  • Troubleshoot unavailability of resource and securing support as needed to close gaps.
  • Follow up with customers to ensure needed services were secured and meeting their needs
  • Recommend and request in-service training needs to appropriate person.
  • Attend and maintain training required for position.
  • Abide by personnel policies as written.  
  • Work with Directors, Managers, Team Leaders, as people enter/exit services.
  • Work with Central Business Office and supply needed information.
  • Report vehicle maintenance needs to the appropriate person.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports as needed.
  • Requisition equipment and materials to supervisor.
  • Turn in receipts for purchases to supervisor.
  • Be aware of agency mission and philosophy to the extent that you can promote community awareness of OCCK, Inc.
  • Be aware of customer needs and provide quality customer service.
  • Participate in community activities as assigned.
  • Inform proper OCCK, Inc. personnel of OCCK, Inc. owned equipment needs
  • Contact appropriate maintenance personnel for emergency maintenance needs.
  • Assist persons served in contacting appropriate persons for maintenance needs.
  • Be aware of and follow all OCCK safety procedures and rules.
  • Submit safety issues and potential hazards to appropriate person as needed.
  • Perform all job duties in a safe manner.
  • Participate in staff meetings and committee assignments as required.
  • Maintain communication with persons served and support services.
  • Submit objectives for Strategic and Operations Plan.
  • Responsible for adherence to all OCCK, Inc. policies and procedures.
  • Maintain and perform other duties as assigned by the President/Chief Executive Officer.
