Share Email Opening Apply Now Title Pain Management Specialist   Location Astoria   Description Pappas Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, PLLC is a medical practice in Astoria that specializes in the non-surgical treatment of neck, back and extremity pain due to auto/work related trauma and sports injuries, as well as post-operative therapeutic management. We are currently looking to hire a part-time Pain Management Specialist. Responsibilities: • Trigger point & joint injections as medically necessary • Maintain high clinical productivity • Having in-depth knowledge about the physiology of pain • Calculating complications of the patient’s pain • Conducting specialized tests for diagnosing conditions of pain • Performing procedures like nerve blocks, spinal injections, etc Doctor Profile: • Interventional pain management experience is a plus • Valid and clear license to practice in NY • Broad and current knowledge of evidence based, best practice, and treatment planning • Willingness to see a diverse patient/payer mix (commercial insurance, Medicare,       workers’ compensation, personal injury, no-fault) with acute and chronic conditions Candidate Characteristics: • Excellent Interpersonal & Communication Skills • Professional and respectful of colleagues, patients and clinical/office staff • Driven team player with strong work ethic – hungry and will do what it takes to help  grow the practice • Self-motivated, improvement and productivity oriented • Availability to start working immediately   Schedule: Wednesday 8am-4pm or Friday 8am-4pm Base Pay: $1,250 per day   Full-Time/Part-Time Part-Time   Exempt/Non-Exempt Exempt   Position Requirements   Education and Training Valid and clear license to practice in NY   Benefits   EOE Statement We are an equal employment opportunity employer.
