Position Title: Lifestyle Director
Location: Aurora, CO - At Southshore Community
Reporting To: General Manager
Status: Exempt, Full-Time
Salary: $65,000 - $75,000 Annually DOE

EMPLOYEE OWNER POSITION PURPOSE:
The Lifestyle Director is responsible for managing, organizing, directing, promoting, communicating, and leading the Lifestyle activities, events, groups, clubs and classes for the Southshore Metro District Community (SMDC). This includes the creation, adaptation, and implementation for the SMDC policies and governing documents regarding use of the facilities and communications to residents. The LD will be responsible for all communications to and from group leads to the General Manager and Board of Directors as needed, and to the community at large.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Schedule, plan, and organize activities and events; this includes facilitating entertainers, social events, speakers, groups, clubs, classes, special interest activities, etc.
  • Activate the lifestyle programming and engage homeowner by maximizing the use potential of two clubhouses for a 1,960 single family community.
  • Manage one team member
  • Create, and distribute various communications in print, email and website, such as flyers, tickets, and the Community newsletter
  • Coordinate and administer the social aspects of the community website.
  • The Company's liaison to the community's Facility, Social and Communication committee/volunteers.
  • The Social Committee's point of contact for scheduling, planning and execution of the committees events.
  • Coordinate with independent instructors, event staff, and event vendors as needed
  • Document and maintain records of events for future use
  • Develop and maintain event and programming satisfaction and utilization through surveys and tracking participation
  • Maintain various Community files and obtain necessary credentials/certifications and insurance for events and programming.
  • Facilitate the Club Charter creating and approval process with the Board of Directors
  • Schedule events and coordination as needed, including setup, breakdown, publicizing, RSVP's and attending events as needed
  • Assists in responsibilities for the operation of the clubhouse and pool.
  • Performs routine inspections of facilities. Report all non-emergency suspicious activity to the District's security service provider and the proper authority to ensure continued resident safety.
  • Responsible for maintaining organization of storage areas for all recreation supplies and assisting with supply inventory and ordering.
  • Administers the access control program, which includes the issuance of FOBS and updates tracking software.
  • Attends and participates in designated meetings or functions as required by the General Manager or the Board of Directors
  • Respond to phone, email, and correspondence inquiries from all group leaders, homeowners, and Board members
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent); Associate degree preferred
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions with minimal supervision
  • Proficiency in event and communications support - generally between 1-4 years, depending on the position level
  • Superior multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to manage workflow amid shifting priorities
  • Ability to meet deadlines and address time-sensitive issues
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, Publisher, Power Point, Constant Contact, PDF Editor Software, intermediate to advanced skills a plus
  • Conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Must be a team player who is committed to delivering high-level customer service
  • Adaptable and dependable with a solid attendance record
  • Professional and respectful demeanor with all internal and external customers

SPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and driving record in compliance with Company policy

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Use standard office equipment, including computer, phone, copier/scanner, etc.
  • Be stationary for periods of time
  • Relocate up to (25) pounds
  • Possibly travel to and from offsite locations

SUPERVISES OTHERS? IF SO, LIST:

  • Not directly. However, at times the LD will coordinate with the Operations Manager and GM regarding directing the Administrative Assistant and Assistant Community Manager in preparation for event setup and breakdown.

SCHEDULE & TRAVEL:

  • Shifts will vary based on business need
  • Possible weekends and holidays
