Your role at MOBE

The purpose of MOBE enterprise learning is to deliver accurate, relevant, and timely learning opportunities to all employees across MOBE. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Learning and Development Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in driving our organization's learning and development initiatives, focusing on facilitation, project leadership, content strategy, and content design. As a Senior Learning and Development Specialist, you will maintain our existing, ongoing training programs and help to create new ones as organizational needs arise. The ideal candidate will be an engaging, detail-oriented, and self-motivated individual with strong interpersonal skills and a developed understanding of adult learning principles.

Responsibilities

Facilitation:

  • Conduct engaging and effective training sessions, workshops, etc. to address organizational learning needs.
  • Facilitate in-person, virtual, and hybrid learning experiences, ensuring a positive and interactive learning environment.
  • Support audiences of new employees in the onboarding process, acting as a steward of the company's mission and culture.

Project Leadership:

  • Oversee and contribute to end-to-end learning and development projects, from needs assessment to evaluation, ensuring successful implementation and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with L&D teammates and key stakeholders to define project scope, audience, objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing updates on project progress, identified challenges, and recommended solutions.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for learning initiatives and conduct evaluations to measure the effectiveness of programs.
  • Use data and feedback to identify areas for improvement and iterate on learning initiatives and programs.

Content Strategy and Design:

  • Think critically and holistically when designing learning experiences to build on existing learner knowledge, create necessary context for new learning, and layer in experiential elements that allow learners to apply their knowledge and skills.
  • Build a deep understanding of the business and our learning audiences to drive focus and relevance for all learning experiences.
  • Work closely with subject matter experts, internal teams, and external resources to gather information and ensure accuracy of content.
  • Design innovative and learner-centric training materials, including e-learning modules, instructor-led materials, and multimedia content.
  • Utilize instructional design principles to create content that promotes effective learning transfer.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Manage and curate online learning for all employees via an external vendor platform.
  • Consult with leaders to develop learning paths for role-specific employee professional development
  • Undertake additional learning and development projects as assigned by the Manager of L&D, demonstrating adaptability and a proactive approach to addressing organizational needs.
  • Actively participate in the ongoing growth of the Learning & Development function, i.e. creating/updating policies and procedures, contributing to special projects, fully engaging in meetings, etc.
 
Position Requirements

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in either Business, Human Resources, Instructional Design, Training, Education, Organizational Development, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and/or related experience
  • 5+ years of experience in L&D, HR, or related field
  • Proven ability to facilitate engaging and interactive learning experiences for diverse audiences, both in-person and virtually
  • Robust project leadership skills with the ability to lead initiatives from conception to completion
  • Strong knowledge of instructional design principles, adult learning theory, and best practices in training delivery
  • Proficiency in using learning management systems (LMS) and other relevant technologies
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the capacity to convey complex concepts in a clear and understandable manner
  • Superior interpersonal and organizational skills, with keen attention to detail
  • Autonomous and self-directed working style, while maintaining an openness and interest in feedback and development
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Preferred

  • Experience in eLearning design and development
  • Experience working in Digital Health / healthcare settings
  • Desire to be a part of an organization looking to transform health culture
