Junior HR Generalist 

Description

RCN Capital, LLC is a national, direct private lender providing time-sensitive, bridge financing to real estate investors to fund the purchase of non-owner occupied residential and commercial properties, provide bridge loans, and provide real estate-backed lines of credit.

We are looking for a Junior HR Generalist to join our HR team! The role will handle and support daily functions of the Human Resources team including hiring and recruitment, administration of pay, benefits, and leave, and administrative functions to support company policies and practices, as well as employee engagement.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
  • Implements new hire orientation and employee engagement programs.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Assists with annual conference held by organization with administrative functions.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent experience required.
  • At least one year of experience in recruitment or staffing
  • At least one year of experience in HR support or administration
  • At least one year of experience in employee relations

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience supporting employee engagement functions preferred
  • 3 years of experience in recruiting, employee relations, and HR support and administration

Education:

  • HR, Business Administration, Communications, or related field

Schedule:

  • Full time
  • Monday-Friday, 9:00AM to 6:00PM
  • Hybrid work model
